Author & Storyteller
Tibbi Ann Hardix is a West Virginia-born mom, wife, nurse, and storyteller whose writing is steeped in the folklore, grit, and quiet magic of the Appalachian hills. She grew up surrounded by stories—some whispered on front porches, others carried through the hollers on foggy mornings—and she has spent her life collecting them, reshaping them, and breathing new life into their echoes.
Her young adult horror and mystery tales explore the line between fear and fascination, reality and the supernatural. Drawing inspiration from her vivid dreams and the haunting beauty of small-town life, Tibbi Ann crafts stories that are as heartfelt as they are eerie. Her work honors the pulse of Appalachia—the perseverance of its people, the depth of its history, and the way even its silence seems to hum with memory.
Through her storytelling, she invites readers into a world where every rustling leaf might hold a secret, where courage often hides in ordinary hearts, and where hope has a way of surviving even in the darkest places. Whether her tales bring chills, tears, or a quiet smile, each one carries a piece of the mountains she calls home.

My Works
Unique Stories
My stories are stitched from dreams, small-town whispers, and the haunting beauty of Appalachian life. I write tales that live somewhere between the real and the unreal—where the fog hangs low over the hills, and every shadow might hold a secret.
From young adult horror and mystery to folklore-inspired short stories, my work explores the spaces where imagination meets memory. Each story is rooted in the rhythms of West Virginia—the creak of an old porch swing, the hum of cicadas at dusk, and the quiet ache of growing up in a place that remembers everything.
Not all of my tales come from the dark, though. Some come from the joyful, wagging world of my dachshund, Reese, whose curious adventures add a lighthearted spark to my storytelling. These stories bring a playful twist to my Appalachian roots, proving that even in the midst of mystery, there’s room for laughter, warmth, and wonder.
The adventure began with a whisper, grew with every page, and continues to unfold with each new story I share. This is only the beginning of the journey, and I’m so excited to walk it alongside new friends, readers, and dreamers who believe—like I do—that magic still lives in the hills.
The adventure began with Hatched from a Chicken Egg, a story born from rumor and rooted in the heart of West Virginia. It continued to unfold through The Mystery of Cerise Falls, where whispers from the woods beckoned readers deeper into the holler. Along the way, the journey took an unexpected and delightful pit stop with Reese the Haunted Halloweenie – A Halloween Mystery, proving that even in spooky tales, there’s room for warmth, friendship, and wagging tails. But this is certainly not the end—it’s only the beginning. I’m beyond excited to share this growing adventure with new friends, readers, and dreamers who believe that stories can come alive in the most unexpected places.
