Tibbi Ann Hardix is a West Virginia-born mom, wife, nurse, and storyteller whose writing is steeped in the folklore, grit, and quiet magic of the Appalachian hills. She grew up surrounded by stories—some whispered on front porches, others carried through the hollers on foggy mornings—and she has spent her life collecting them, reshaping them, and breathing new life into their echoes.
Her young adult horror and mystery tales explore the line between fear and fascination, reality and the supernatural. Drawing inspiration from her vivid dreams and the haunting beauty of small-town life, Tibbi Ann crafts stories that are as heartfelt as they are eerie. My stories are stitched from dreams, small-town whispers, and the haunting beauty of Appalachian life. I write tales that live somewhere between the real and the unreal—where the fog hangs low over the hills, and every shadow might hold a secret.
From young adult horror and mystery to folklore-inspired short stories, my work explores the spaces where imagination meets memory. Each story is rooted in the rhythms of West Virginia—the creak of an old porch swing, the hum of cicadas at dusk, and the quiet ache of growing up in a place that remembers everything.
Not all of my tales come from the dark, though. Some come from the joyful, wagging world of my dachshund, Reese, whose curious adventures add a lighthearted spark to my storytelling. These stories bring a playful twist to my Appalachian roots, proving that even in the midst of mystery, there’s room for laughter, warmth, and wonder.

But this is certainly not the end—it’s only the beginning.
